Dr Nikunj Jani (MD Hom) delivered a seminar on ‘The Role of Scientific Journals in Training of Students of Homoeopathy’ on 9th March 2024 at Late Mrs Housabai Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital Nimshirgaon MH.
He described the need of writing and reading the journals by the students of Homoeopathy. He focused on inspiring the students to read and write the review articles. He shared his clinical experiences and how journals have helped him in this journey, which is very inspiring. He spoke about how Hahnemann read the article in Huffland journal and from there how the journey of Homoeopathy started. He displayed images of journals Published a century ago in which the stalwarts of Homoeopathy had presented their work. He also described a case of Erythromatous Psoriasis which was treated Homoeopathically with the help of previously published articles. The results of the case were astonishing. He spoke about the various types of articles like original research articles, review articles, editorials and case reports. He also focused on how publishing the cases can help the Homoeopathic physician sitting at a distant place. He showed various examples of types of articles published in standard Homoeopathic journals like IJRH and JISH. He gave important tips about Journal Club and it’s management. The session was altogether though provoking and inspiring.
Miss Layeeba Faruqui, Miss Sakshi Kannargi, Miss Sakshi Abdan, Miss Pragati Khade, Mr Akshay Chougule and Mr Rushikesh Patil helped with all technical needs and anchoring of this event. Research and Development Committee organised this session with great help of Dr Vilas Satpute and MLDMHI. All the teachers and students of I, III and IV BHMS attended the session.)
